Abdullah Alkadi Company
A cultural reference for the heritage of Arabia, built on three decades of research in the field.
01 The company
Preserving history and culture.
Abdullah Alkadi Company is a curated brand and consulting agency devoted to time, place and culture. It studies the historic sites and routes of Arabia, and governs how their value is defined, protected, interpreted and brought to people.
Its mandate applies where cultural decisions carry long-term consequences, where outcomes are irreversible, and where cultural value must be safeguarded in step with the Kingdom's development objectives. The company is appointed not to advise on culture, but to govern how it is defined, protected, interpreted, experienced, measured and operated.
Its experts study the projects that revive historic and heritage places, document them to the standards of the field, and provide the solutions and resources that major projects need.

Its vision
To connect history with everyone.
Its mission is to connect all with history's unparalleled past, through curated knowledge and interdisciplinary solutions for a greater future.
02 The story
It all started three decades ago.
The company was founded by Prof. Abdullah Hussain Alkadi to revive history and to change the way people think about it.
His story began thirty years ago, when he turned his studies to historic and heritage sites and routes and put his specialty, urban and regional planning, to work in their service. He has since covered more than 100,000 kilometres of field research on foot, seeking the value held in Islamic and Arab heritage and history and carrying it to the community.
Today the company puts that value into practice: solutions and resources for heritage and historical projects, delivered to international standards, with great care never to alter the historical and heritage value of a place, and to preserve its authenticity as the original sources record it.
The philosophy
Between time and place, culture integrates.
A duration that expands without end, its echo carried through history.
A civilisation full of stories to be told, with an ancient heritage.
Milestones on the road of time, each shaped by history with care for its precise time and place.

04 The framework
When cultural integrity matters, definition must precede activation.
The company works through a cultural framework of six integrated pillars. They are not separate services but a controlled progression that governs how cultural value is defined, protected, interpreted, activated, measured and operated.
The progression governs every engagement and prevents premature activation, misinterpretation, operational drift and the dilution of cultural value. For decision-makers it means a clear cultural reference before development, reduced reputational and implementation risk, continuity from planning to operation, and long-term cultural sustainability in line with Vision 2030.
Cultural definition
Establishes cultural integrity by defining what is true.
Protection control
Regulates development by defining what is allowed.
Interpretation and meaning
Structures significance by defining what it means.
Activation and experience
Activates culture responsibly by defining how it is experienced.
Measurement and assessment
Verifies performance by determining how it performs.
Operation control
Sustains cultural value in practice by controlling how it operates.
05 Selected engagements
Shaping cultural value across its full lifecycle.
These engagements show the company's role as a cultural reference, governing how heritage is defined, protected, interpreted, experienced, measured and operated in complex and sensitive contexts.

Cultural definition Public Investment Fund
Historically referenced sites lacked verified spatial and contextual clarity. A structured validation turned dispersed references into validated cultural assets, so that future development and interpretation rest on verified history rather than assumption.
Boundary assessment of historical sites
Protection control Heritage Commission, Saudi Aknan
A hierarchical system of core, buffer and influence zones, integrated criteria and decision rules, so that protection is embedded in planning rather than applied afterwards.
Guides for historical sites
Interpretation and meaning Heritage Commission, Islamic University of Madinah
A unified interpretive framework, storytelling mapped to movement through the site, and guidance systems aligned with tourism standards.
Hijrah exhibition and film
Activation and experience Ithra
The narrative system across physical and media layers, so that the public can engage with a historically sensitive story without loss of accuracy.
Evaluating the experience of historical sites and enrichment destinations
Measurement and assessment Pilgrim Experience Program
A measurement framework that links cultural value, operational performance and visitor experience, and identifies the gaps between intent and reality.
A heritage hospitality playbook for Rua Al Haram Al Makki
Operation control Rua Al Haram Al Makki
Cultural identity translated into an operating framework for hospitality: a governance framework, visitor guidelines, a non-negotiables matrix and operating principles.
Ala Khutah: the Hijrah route
The full lifecycle General Entertainment Authority, Sela
The route of the Hijrah validated in the field, bounded, told as one journey, designed for the visitor, measured and operated: fragmented heritage assets made into one governed cultural system.
06 Its cultural house
Where time meets place, and culture is narrated.
Zamkana is the cultural house of Abdullah Alkadi Company and its direct arm to the community. It specialises in storytelling and in research-based content rooted in place and time.
As the company's intellectual engine, it turns in-depth research into projects and immersive experiences that deepen the understanding of places across their historical and cultural contexts. Its method, the narrative journey, moves from the contextual reading of a place, through research and interpretation, to content, products and community engagement.
